Role Overview:
We are seeking a Head of Growth, a Go-to-Market (GTM)-focused individual who will serve as a sales and revenue leader. This high-priority role will ideally begin as an individual contributor, leveraging existing leadership experience to build and scale a Business Development team over time. The ideal candidate will possess a “rainmaker” mentality, driving new business and fostering deep relationships within the pharma commercial world. This role is crucial for expanding market presence and achieving ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initially focus on direct sales both with Current clients, as well as, New.
- Build and expand a Business Development (BD) team.
- Establish and nurture customer relationships within the pharma commercial sector.
- Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies and sales playbooks.
- Deeply understand the company’s AI-driven products by working closely with Co-Founders.
- Identify and cultivate existing relationships within top accounts to drive expansion.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies in current sales and go-to-market processes and propose and implement improvements.
Expectations for the Role:
- First Six Months Priorities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the product offerings and their value proposition to customers, demonstrating an adept tech mentality for complex AI tech products.
- Nurture existing relationships with leaders in the pharma commercial world, warming them up to the idea of working with the company, even if immediate sales do not result.
- Spend time within top accounts to nurture existing relationships, understand workflows, and identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current sales and go-to-market processes.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Successfully leverage existing relationships in pharma to secure intro meetings and pilots.
- Build and expand your own Business Development team after making the first successful sale.
- Attain commission of 10% for every new account opened and 5% for scaling within an existing account.
- Software and Tools: Must be “AI native” and adept at using AI tools to understand complex AI tech products and underlying technology.
- Travel and Work Schedule: The role can be remote but requires travel to meet potential customers and leads, including occasional travel (e.g., once every couple of months) to the San Francisco office and client sites on the East and West Coasts.
